To ensure the efficient and effective production of injection moulded products on the shift by effectively controlling all production resources utilized in order to achieve the production and quality targets set, while ensuring that SHEQ standards are maintained.
Introduction
A Quality Technician is responsible for supporting the quality assurance and quality control processes within the organization to ensure that products and services meet the required standards and specifications. The role involves conducting inspections, testing products, monitoring production processes, and ensuring compliance with company quality procedures and regulatory requirements. The Quality Technician works closely with production, and quality teams to identify defects, investigate quality issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions. The position also involves maintaining accurate inspection records, preparing quality reports, and assisting with internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives. In addition, the Quality Technician ensures that measuring equipment is properly used and maintained, supports process improvements to reduce defects, and helps maintain a strong culture of quality throughout the Company. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining high product quality and customer satisfaction.
Job description

We are looking for dedicated individual to join our team, contributing across various key areas including:
 
  • Perform inspection and testing of in-process products, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.

  • Monitor production processes to ensure products meet required quality standards.

  • Identify and report non-conforming products and ensure proper documentation and corrective action.

  • Maintain accurate quality inspection records and reports.

  • Assist in investigating customer complaints and internal quality issues.

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Ensure all measuring and testing equipment is properly used and maintained.

  • Assist in internal audits and ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards).

  • Work closely with production teams to improve product quality and reduce defects.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality procedures at all times.

Minimum requirements

Qualification:

  • Matric with Maths, Maths lit or Technical Maths 50% 

  • Diploma or Certificate in Quality Management, or a related field will be an advantage.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a quality inspection or manufacturing environment.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and inspection techniques.

  • Understanding of quality standards and documentation.

  • Ability to use measuring instruments and testing equipment.

  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
